Waiting for sunset

One of the things I found fascinating at Angkor Wat was how people sweated and climbed to reach key sunset spots--then just hung around and waited for that one 'moment,' not paying much if any attention to the changing light. And of course it's not particular to there, it's anywhere really that puts the public and sunsets together. At at spot like this (the Angkor temple complex) things to me were much more interesting before the sun actually hit the horizon.
